One of the main problems diabetics have is foot problems.  Many doctors will recommend people with diabetes to take extra special care of their feet.  The reason being is that a diabetic could injure his or her foot and without even knowing there is a problem due to nerve damage. For this reason doctors recommend heated insoles.

There are a few things to take into consideration for a diabetic.  The first, is what is defined as neuropathy, it is also referred to as peripheral diabetic neuropathy.  This can be explained as losing sensation in your feet because of nerve damage from diabetes.  Neuropathy is caused by poor circulation and because of this your feet and toes can become numb.  It is a sensation that feels like your foot has fallen asleep except the sensation does not go away.  When you cannot feel your feet cuts, infection, and damage can happen.

The second issue is defined as peripheral vascular disease which is the hardening of your arteries in your legs.  When your arteries harden they restrict blood flow and do not allow properly circulation which contains antibodies and other healing properties to do their job.

Because of these issues many doctors recommend heated insoles.  They are inserted into your shoes and can make walking more comfortable.  They work to hep you keep the feeling sensation in your feet.  When you can feel your feet then you can tell if they have been injured or overworked.

The heated insoles are very easy to use.  They are rechargeable and can last throughout the day.  The best part about them is they have a thermostat that monitors when your foot temperature becomes low and work to self regulate each foot individually.  Many diabetics will benefit from heated insoles because they will keep their feet warm and comfortable and prevent foot damage.
